Landscape of trees and rocks in Katherine Gorge
Description

The Northern Territory has a new literary magazine. Celebrate with Borderlands and join them for their online launch with guest speaker, Marie Munkara. Learn more about the Borderlands project, their newest stories, authors, upcoming print edition and how to submit.

By expanding the borders of Australian literary culture and celebrating authors and critics from within and beyond the NT, the magazine hopes to position itself at the vanguard of a North Australian literature.

The launch of Borderlands Magazine is in conjunction with the ASAL Patrons Lecture and funded by the Copyright Agency. The Patrons Lectures support emerging and distinguished Australian writers to travel to locations around Australia to give a public talk on a topic of his or her choosing for a broader public.

This event is held at the Library inside Parliament House, 4 Bennett St, Darwin.
Free finger food and drinks for purchase available from 5pm with official proceedings from 5:30pm.
