Description

Northern Territory Library’s 2019 Creative in Residence Alicia Scobie from the band Leash & The Dusty Boots is hosting a Tennant Creek themed songwriting workshop as part of her project titled Tennant Creek Truths. Using items from Library's collections, come and help write a different narrative about Tennant Creek.

This workshop is open to musicians, poets and creative’s of all kind who want to have a go at the art of songwriting. Join in the frivolity (and yes, we will be making noise in the Library). All skills levels are welcome from ages 16 and up.

Part of the NT Arts Grant Program, the Creative in Residence program provides NT artists the opportunity to engage with the unique NT collections at one of the Department of Tourism and Culture’s venues: the Northern Territory Library and the Northern Territory Archives Service in Darwin, and the Araluen Cultural Precinct in Alice Springs.

Continue changing the Tennant Creek narrative and join Alicia Scobie's Artist Book Creation Workshop on Sunday 18 August as part of the 2019 Creative in Residence program - Bookings essential.
