Description

Join former Chief Minister Clare Martin as she delves into the lives and art of this year’s Portrait of a Senior Territorian entrants and subjects.

The panel includes the well-known musician and Emeritus Music Director of the Darwin Chorale, Nora Lewis AM, and the portrait-sitter for the winning painting, Paul Patteson, who has had remarkable success in sports and business despite losing almost all of his vision. They will be joined by entrant and previous Art Award winner James Nasir who started life in an army hut before going on to study Art at the Julian Ashton Art School in Sydney. Clare's final guest is a newcomer to the Award, Lana Twyford, who painted an intriguing portrait of her lecturer, Dr Ian Hance, with that Top End icon - a termite mound.
