black and white image of 7 aboriginal protestors with raised fists behind the aboriginal flag - red on top, yellow circle in middle black band at the bottom

The exhibition has been extended until Sunday 21 November, 2021.

Our upcoming exhibition at Library & Archives NT is Black, Red & Yellow: Unity and Identity

The flag was designed by a Territorian, Harold Thomas, a Luritji/Wombai artist from Alice Springs.

Featuring photographs, paintings, prints and memorabilia, the exhibition will track the journey of the flag from a symbol of protest to national icon and consider the significant moments that were instrumental to its wider acceptance.

The exhibition is on display at the Northern Territory Library at Parliament House from Tuesday 13 July 2021 until Sunday 17 October 2021. No bookings required.
