For the safety of our community, Library & Archives NT has temporarily closed our facilities to the public, effective from Wednesday 25 March 2020.

This closure includes the Northern Territory Library, Northern Territory Archives Centre and the Alice Springs office based in Minerals House.

Our online channels remain open for business:

  • We have a range of free electronic resources including eBooks, eAudiobooks, eMagazines and educational apps; you can log into any of these electronic resources with your public library card number and password. If you are not a public library member or cannot remember your password please contact your local library.
  • Digital historical collections are still available through Territory Stories.
  • Our staff are happy to respond to questions via the Online Enquiry System, email or phone.
  • Library & Archives NT Facebook page will continue to share stories from our history and post photos from the collections.

We look forward to opening our doors again to you in the future but in the meantime stay safe, and keep up to date through our Facebook page and website.
