The Northern Territory Library has delivered an Education Service to Territory schools for many years, introducing young people to the Library collections and major events in Territory history.

In 2018 the Library engaged a skilled and experienced educator to design and develop new learning sessions for each stage of schooling, explicitly aligned with the Australian Curriculum, SACE Stages 1 and 2, NT Curriculum Framework and NT Preschool Curriculum.

The Library aims to engage more young people with the Northern Territory history.  Students will meet multiple learning outcomes in an interactive and meaningful way.

Our especially designed sessions map with curriculum outcomes for all four stages of schooling: early, primary, middle and senior years.

In collaboration with the Northern Territory Department of Education, the Library contributes to the professional engagement, knowledge and practice of classroom educators and specialists, in line with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
